MERRY CHRISTMAS 2007 SANTA RUN SUPPORTERS
In 1999, Florosa Firefighters, Inc., in conjunction with the Florosa Fire Control District, started a tradition that has come to be known as "Santa Run" . The event sees fire fighters dress up as Santa and his elves and pass out candy canes and holiday cheer to the residents of our fire district. We also select one needy family in our district and donate food and gifts. The local children love and excitedly look forward to the event each year. After all, Santa Claus is great, and fire trucks are great. What could be better than Santa on the fire truck and supporting a family in need, all in one event?!!!
In past years this high profile event has been a huge success both for our contributors and us. This year we are asking for donations from local businesses to help support the effort and offset the costs. We are looking for non-perishable foods, canned goods, toys, candy, or even a monetary donation in an effort to make this a Merry Christmas for our neighbors and our needy family.
If you would like to assist us in our endeavors, please feel free to donate. It's easy, just contact the fire department at 850-581-2900 and leave a message with you business name, phone number, a contact person's name, and your address, and we will come to you. Or, you may drop a check by the station on Tuesday evenings or Saturday mornings while we are training. Checks should be made payable to "Florosa Firefighters, Inc." (a 501-3C Corporation). All donations are tax deductible and go for a good cause. Your sponsorship will be prominently noted on our "Sponsor Board" on the side of the fire truck as it carries Santa throughout the District. Help us to make this Christmas the best ever for the families of Okaloosa County.
If you would like Santa to bring a gift to your child? , If so, please bring a pre wrapped gift with the child's name, age, and your address to Station 5, 1900 West Highway 98. We will contact you with the dates and time of the drop off. Donations for this are also welcome.
